COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ten games are on the Ohio State men's hockey nonconference schedule for 2026-27.
The slate starts with back-to-back road series, with the Buckeyes traveling for two games at RPI Oct. 9-10 and a series at Sacred Heart Oct. 16-17. The first games in Columbus will be vs. Augustana Oct. 23-24.
Thanksgiving weekend, Ohio State will head to Union for games Nov. 27-28. The final nonconference matchup is a home series vs. UConn Dec. 11-12.
The Buckeyes' Big Ten schedule, as well as times and broadcast information, will be released at a later date.

- New season tickets are on sale now. Purchase
- Renewals for 2025-26 season ticket holders are available now by logging in to their Ohio State Buckeyes ticket account. The deadline to renew is June 30.
- Season tickets on the glass are $342.50 each ($317.50 per ticket + $25 required donation). Adult season tickets are $258.50, with youth, senior and Ohio State faculty/staff season tickets $204.50 each. Parking is free for all home games in the Schottenstein Center.
- Single-game tickets will be on sale closer to the start of the 2026-27 season.
Noting the Buckeyes' Nonconference Opponenents
- The October series is the first between the Buckeyes and RPI since two games in Columbus Oct. 13-14, 2017. Ohio State is 2-1-5 all-time vs. the Engineers, a member of the ECAC. The first six games in the series were all on RPI home ice in Troy, N.Y.
- The Buckeyes and Sacred Heart, a member of Atlantic Hockey, met in Columbus last season (Oct. 24-25, 2025), with the Pioneers winning game one in overtime 2-1 before a 3-0 Ohio State win. The Buckeyes are 3-1-0 vs. Sacred Heart, with the series next season the first on Pioneer home ice in Fairfield, Conn.
- Ohio State and Augustana will meet for the first time next season. The Vikings joined Division I in 2023-24 and are a member of the CCHA.
- The Buckeyes have faced off against Union just three times. The series started in the Union College Tournament in Schenectady, N.Y., in 1977, a 6-3 Union win. The teams met in Columbus Dec. 10-11, 2005, with the Buckeyes posting a sweep (2-1, 6-1) over the Garnet Chargers, a member of the ECAC.
- Last year, Ohio State and UConn split a series in Storrs, Conn., Oct. 17-18, 2025, with a 3-2 Husky win and 4-2 Buckeye victory. The Buckeyes are 5-2-3 all-time vs. UConn, a member of Hockey East, with all 10 meetings since 2016. In Columbus, Ohio State is 3-0-1 vs. the Huskies, with the last series Oct. 15-16, 2021 (OSU 4-3 OT, OSU 3-0).
